Natick's character: old stone, historic streets and mid century neighborhoods
Natick has two very different kinds of streets. In South Natick, along the Charles River and inside the John Eliot Historic District, you find older homes on large, wooded lots with fieldstone walls along the road. Around Natick Center and East Natick, the housing is denser: colonials, capes and ranches built through the twentieth century, many with original concrete walks and asphalt driveways that are ready to be replaced.
That mix shapes what we build. On older properties, the goal is usually to repair or extend a fieldstone wall so the new section looks like it has always been there, or to add a bluestone walkway that suits the house. On mid century homes, the work is more about upgrading: a paver walkway, a new patio off the back door, a fence to close in the yard.
