Every photo here is our own work. In-progress photos are marked, because the base and the drainage under a patio matter as much as the stone on top.

How we work, step by step

A dry well, from the first shovel to the last stone.

Scroll through a real Machado job. Most of a good drainage system ends up underground, so here is what the finished lawn hides.

  1. 01Dig and lay the stone base

We dig to the right depth for the roof or yard water and lay a bed of clean crushed stone.

  2. 02Level the first ring

  3. 03Stack the rings

  4. 04Set the cover

  5. 05Tie in the pipe and backfill with stone
